Remarks: Although Schubart described the Brazilian material in the genus Orthoporus. I think the relationship of Heteropyge with that genus is dubious. The gonopods of the two genera are quite different. Moreover, in Heteropyge the first pair of legs has strongly developed postfemoral and tibial pads.
