Nomenclature in the original description (Chamberlin 1952) this species appears both as Aymaresmus tambonus (page 579, in the figure caption) and Aymaresmus tampocus (page 580, heading of the description). The second one must be a misprint. The correct name is Aymaresmus tambonus, as is also written in the original holotype label. [details]
