Taxonomic remark The current status of this genus is murky. Almeida et al (2021) moved the genotype, Ochrotropis guianensis to the genus Haematotropis, but did not mention the species O. convexus, now the only species left in Ochrotopis--a genus that now lacks its type taxon. [details]
