Editor P. Sierwald: Hoffman listed the genus Rhaphonotum with Loomis, 1968 as the genus author. This appears to be a misinterpretation of Jeekel's 1971: 43 comment that Loomis designated the type species for the genus in 1968. Loomis does not become the author of the genus name Rhaphonotum through subsequent designation of the type species. Loomis, 1968: 108 cites Attems, 1951 as the author of the genus name.
