From the original illustrations of this subspecies (Verhoeff 1936: plate VII, figs ABB. 12–15; herein Fig. 9C), it is clear that, despite the slight variations pertaining to the basal postfemoral process and the solenophore, which are attributed to intraspecific variations commonly found in the species C. kelaarti (see Humbert 1865), this subspecies indeed is conspecific with C. kelaarti. The subspecies C. kelaarti longipes should thus be regarded as the junior synonym of C. kelaarti.
