Mrsic (1986) described saviniense from Resnik in the Savinja valley in Slovenia. Then, in 1988, Mrsic added the locality Brezno in the Drava valley. He also published a distribution map of this subspecies which showed Brezno and Resnik close to the Dravinja River which runs through the Pohorje massif, and no site along the Savinja in the Savinjske Alps. As the gazetteer indicates Resnik only in the Pohorje region we assume that the 1988 map is correct. The Dravinja valley is part of the Drava basin. The species is similar to Polydesmus xantbocrepis.
