Spirostreptus feae had originally been described by Pocock (1893), based on a series that Demange (1961) found to comprise two different species and genera, including a new species, Gonoplectus pococki. The latter is based on the male holotype kept in the Paris Museum. See also Ctenorangoon feae below.
