L. kosswigi is currently viewed as a subspecies of Acanthopetalum furculigerum (Strasser, 1976; Stagl & Stoev, 2005). A. minotauri (Attems, 1902) was treated as a subspecies of fuceuligerum by Strasser (1976) but has been re-elevated to full species status by Curc ic et al. (2001).
